Electrical avionics Engineer
Braydon burkhardt
Hi! I’m Braydon, a 4th year Cal Poly electrical engineering student with a passion in avionics engineering. I have experience in spacecraft electronics design, simulation, and testing from me leading the design of multiple spacecraft and my work on reusable launch vehicles (rockets!).
My time as Lead Avionics Engineer at PolySat (the CubeSat founders) allowed me to learn the ‘full stack’ of satellite electronics while leading a world-class team of engineering students – all of which prepared me to start my biggest project I’m undertaking: my own 0.5U CubeSat! I also was fortunate to intern for Stoke Space last Fall which has grown to independent contract work for them. My experience as an avionics contractor includes developing PCBs for their Nova Rocket, such as networking, battery, data aquision/processing, and interfacing hardware.
I also love exploring different fields in personal projects such as simulation & game development, autonomous drones, high-power rocketry, and more!
This website is my ‘hub’ where you can explore some of my ongoing projects and some of my highlighted past projects and works – and some backpacking stuff!
